USYI, Inc. (US Yachts International Inc.)
a diversified holding company originally
established in California in 1979
During the early business days of USYI, the company was engaged
in importing exclusive stainless steel hardware for luxury yachts,
mainly from the Netherlands. Soon thereafter, other products for
luxury yachts were distributed by the company, like bow, stern
thrusters, and stabilizing systems used in the docking of yachts.
All the parts were built in the Netherlands. The business alignment
with Europe was no coincidence, since the major stockholders are
Dutch and German. As of today, some of the same products are still
being marketed internationally by the company.
In the beginning of the 1980's, USYI initiated the development of a new, contemporary customized
Euro-Style line of yachts, which ranged in size between 48' and 60'. As the test market became successful,
the company designed, owned, and built proprietary tooling for an expanding Euro-Style series. The
results were multiple orders, all sharing the state-of-the-art luxury yacht building features in fully
customized interiors with the finest materials and craftsmanship.
In the mid eighty's USYI developed additional tooling and launched the very popular MONTE FINO yacht
series. As of today, this yacht series still produces a very unique and diversified production line with many models.
By the end of the century USYI expanded in the marine mechanical parts business that progressed to the manufacturing of other automotive parts, many of them build in Asia.
This period turned out to be the catalyst of USYI’s expansion in to the manufacturing of powersports. In
2004, Motofino USA, Inc. was founded as a subsidiary company with its distribution headquarters in Augusta, Georgia.
As the sales and marketing of the Motofino scooters, motorcycles and ATV’s over the years progressed and
the dealer network was maturing, USYI decided to diversify it’s operation with the marketing of specialty products like the unique foldable flexi motor scooter that addresses the personal transportation needs of private pilots, RV owners, and boaters. In addition, an alternative to gas powered scooters was developed
with the environment in mind. USYI has developed an electrically powered scooter, capable of 38 miles
range and 30 mph speed. The Company strives to produce the highest quality, unique powersports
equipment. Supporting the Customer is paramount with detailed owners documentation, technical phone support and available spare parts.
